Film director Oleg Sentsov, journalist Roman Suschenko and Pavlo Gryb returned to Ukraine among other political prisoners. Today, September 7, a large exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and Russia took place.



The online broadcast of the Kremlin’s prisoners meeting at Boryspil airport is conducted by 112 Ukraine TV channel.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky also arrived to the airport.

Among those who returned to Ukraine were Oleksandr Kolchenko, Volodymyr Balukh, Stanislav Klykh, Mykola Karpyuk (the return of Karpyuk and Klykh was discussed with Russian President Putin by the head of the political council of the Opposition Platform - for Life party, Viktor Medvedchuk), Oleksiy Syzonovych, Edem Bekirov, Evgen Panov, Artur Panov and 24 sailors who were captured by Russia in November 2018.

As we reported earlier, Russia and Ukraine have agreed on exchange "33 on 33". President Zelensky said he hoped for "first results" in the exchange of detainees between Ukraine and Russia soon.

Later, a press secretary of the former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Larysa Sargan reported about the exchange "35 on 35".

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated he liked the idea to exchange all the prisoners in Russia and in the occupied territories of Donbas and Crimea.
