Officials demanded 87 thousand dollars from local entrepreneur

In the Odesa region, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) exposed the lawmaker, a member of the executive committee and the interim chairman of the Zatoka village council on extorting bribes for the allocation of land. The SBU press center on Facebook reports.

"Officials demanded $ 87,000 from a local private entrepreneur for permission to develop projects and allocate three land plots in the resort area," - it was reported.

The lawmaker was detained while receiving the first part of the bribe in the amount of 11 thousand dollars. During searches of the places of residence and work of the defendants, another $50 thous were seized.

As we reported, The Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk said that at the moment, employees of the National Police have stopped the work of more than 5300 gambling establishments in all regions of Ukraine.
