Security service exposed hackers who stole funds of customers of electronic payment systems in Europe and USA

 Security service of Ukraine employees in Cherkasy region thwarted the activities of an international hacker group that stole funds from the accounts of users of electronic payment systems in Europe and the USA. The Security service of Ukraine website reports.

 "Special services operatives found that the fraud was organized by a Russian citizen living in Kyiv and three residents of the Cherkasy region. Cybercriminals bought information from foreign payment accounts through special closed hacker forums. They bought goods from popular foreign online stores for the money they assigned. Then they sold the products in Ukraine through online services," - the report said.

Hackers have been operating since 2010, their annual turnover was $500-700 thousand. During searches at the place of residence of the defendants, law enforcement officers seized computer equipment and identified illegally purchased goods: smart watches, iPad, iPhone, GoPro cameras, navigators, DVRs, echo sounders, etc. and more than $5 thousand.
