In Zhytomyr, a member of the international terrorist organization ‘Islamic State’, who was wanted by Interpol, was detained. The press center of the Security Service of Ukraine reports.

"The Security Service of Ukraine detained in Zhytomyr a member of the international terrorist organization ’Islamic State’, which is on the international wanted list through Interpol," the statement says.

Reportedly, a resident of one of the Central Asian countries arrived on the territory of Ukraine to avoid criminal liability. While in Zhytomyr, the foreigner tried to legalize himself by obtaining a residence permit.

Now he is detained, and the court has chosen a measure of restraint for him in the form of extradition arrest.

As we reported before, as of August 14, 235 Ukrainians are illegally detained in the temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions

"According to the information of the Joint Center, 235 people are listed as illegally deprived of their freedom in the temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions," the message says.
