Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) detained two men responsible for organizing a series of explosions in Kyiv. This was reported by the SBU’s press center.

"The Security Service of Ukraine has identified and apprehended two organizers of a series of explosions in Kyiv," the statement said.

It is reported that members of the group, using improvised explosive devices, set off an explosion at the entrance to Shulyavska metro station and in one of the capital's residential buildings.

"Law enforcement officers identified the owners and users of mobile phones, their whereabouts, and the vehicles used to execute the terrorist attacks. As a result, detectives established the identities of two main perpetrators - they prepared, planted and detonated explosive devices in different parts of the capital," the message reads.

As we reported earlier, an explosion near Shulyavska metro station occurred on July 18.

"An unknown device exploded in a garbage can at the entrance to the Shulyavska metro station at 20:08. One passer-by, who got a leg injury, received medical assistance. The station windows were damaged," the message says.
