Ukraine’s border guards and workers of the SBU (Ukraine’s Security Service) detained a pro-Russian militant in Sumy region, northern Ukraine. The man proved to have served with Kalmius, an armed unit of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

The detainee is resident of Odesa, southern Ukraine; he has been serving as a machinegunner in the mentioned unit since spring 2014. He crossed the Ukrainian border while coming to Odesa by an international train from Moscow to Odesa.

The SBU operatives took him off the train at Konotop railway station in Sumy region.
