Facebook does not plan to appoint a new director and dissolve the security department

Alex Stamos, the Security Director of Facebook resigned as BBC reported.

"39-years-old Stamos had been with the firm since 2015. He will leave later this month," the message said.

He called these three years of work "difficult period of time". Now, he will teach at the Stanford University.

Stamos was criticized due to the scandal with Cambridge Analytica that illegally used the data of more than 87 million users.

As we reported the leadership of the social network Facebook has blocked 32 interrelated pages created for the influence on the political opinion of the U.S. citizens before the election to the Congress that should take place in November.

Earlier Russian Foreign Ministry commented the decision of Robert Mueller, the U.S. Special Counsel, to press charges against 12 Russian military intelligence officers.
