As world trends in the spread of coronavirus disease are far from being positive, Ukraine also expects an increase in the number of coronavirus cases. This was stated by Chief Sanitary Doctor Viktor Lyashko during a briefing, broadcasted by 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"We predict that there may be an increase in the number of coronavirus cases during the epidemic season of influenza and ARVI, i.e. from October 2020 to April 2021," he said.

Lyashko noted that the health care system and hospitals were coping with the workload, but there might be an outbreak.

As we reported earlier, according to World Health Organization Representative Maria Van Kerkhove, as for today, less than 10% of the world population got through the coronavirus infection.

“The majority of the studies show that less than 10% of people are seropositive; in other words, were infected. The medics are most vulnerable to the infection; that is why the rates are higher in this category,” Kerkhove said.

It was also stated that the organization explored all studies on resilience to the virus.
