The second lethal case from Covid-19 spotted at the Armed Forces of Ukraine as the Command of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
“Today, at the intensive care unit of Lviv regional infectious hospital, due to the Covid-19 acute respiratory disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, a employee of the Armed Forces of Ukraine died,” the message said.
It is noted that he had the first signs of the disease on April 1 – fever and shortness of breath. Due to the deterioration of health, on April 8, he was transferred to Lviv regional infectious hospital, where he was at the hospital care at the intensive care unit; he was put on the artificial lung ventilator and got necessary treatment.
“The sickness with the acute respiratory disease Covid-19 was confirmed by polymerase chain reaction on April 12, 2020. Today, on April 16, 2020, at 10:20 a.m., he died. According to information, a man had concurrent illness despite the Covid-19,” the message said.
As we reported, 23 cases of Covid-19 were spotted at the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As of April 16, 4,161 cases of infection with coronavirus were spotted in Ukraine. 116 cases lethal, while 186 patients recovered. 397 cases were spotted during the past 24 hours.
