Ivano-Frankivsk mayor Ruslan Martsynkiv claims that the schoolyear will surely start on September 1, in spite of any quarantine-related decisions made by the Ukrainian government. The kids will go to school in September, he posted on Facebook.
Martsynkiv claimed that the local authorities are preparing school buildings to host the children in autumn.
"We are now creating all conditions for the full-fledged, common and comfortable education process. We are deploying special movement markers, temperature screening sites, and buy sanitizers. We care about children's health, but we also care about decent education, too," the mayor said.
Earlier, Ukraine's Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said the government already made decisions on all peculiarities of the education process in schools since September 1.
