A scheme of forgery of OSCE identification documents was busted in the Ukrainian capital. Press centre of the Office of Prosecutor General of Ukraine reported that on November 25.

"A person has been exposed and served suspicion notice for issuing IDs of the non-existent international organization disguised as the OSCE - for the reward", reads the message.

Culprits who were also involved in this criminal scheme registered NGOs that had the same name with the OSCE official delegation in Ukraine. They also created a website with the name that is similar to the official website of the institution.

The suspects forged and issued the fake IDs for 1,500 euros each. They promosed their clients that the IDs will take them to the list of OSCE diplomatic mission members. Thanks to it, the clients allegedly had a chance to cross the border via green corridor without any quarantine restrictions, get the diplomatic passports, social assistance and free treatment abroad. However, the actual membership in these NGOs did not give these people any advantages.

Dozens of fake IDs with OSCE logos, forged IDs of police workers and other government services' employees were seized. The culprits are now charged with forgery.
