SBU receives letter with threat to kill children-hostages

The law enforcers are checking a version about possible fraud

Today, on July 1, Ukraine's SBU received an anonymous letter with a threat to kill children who are allegedly held captive, as SBU press office reports.

“The culprit threatens to commit the crime if he does not receive $350,000,” the message says.

It is noted that the law enforcers are checking a version about possible fraud. As the anonymous letter comprises the names of the children included in the list of Service for Missing Children.

“Two of them are found, no evidence of their kidnapping obtained,” the law enforcement agency reports.

The National Police opened a criminal proceeding under the articles of Ukraine's Criminal Code. The pre-trial investigation is being conducted.

As we reported earlier, an unknown took hostages in a shop in Moscow, one woman was injured.
