"Investigators of the Office for the Investigation of Crimes Committed in connection with the Mass Protests in 2013-2014, the State Bureau of Investigation in coordination with the Office of the Prosecutor General, on March 25, 2020 reported suspicions to the former deputy head of the public security department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Kyiv," - the message stated.
It is also noted that the former policeman is suspected of illegally obstructing peaceful meetings of citizens, committed by prior conspiracy by a group of people (Article 340 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
If guilty is found, he is threatened with corrective labor for a term of up to two years, arrest for a term of up to six months, restriction of liberty for a term of up to five years or imprisonment for the same term. Now the question is being decided regarding the election of a preventive measure.
