Ryanair to start flights from Ukraine in autumn 2018

The Irish company will conduct flights from Lviv and Boryspil airports. However, the directions are still unknown.

Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan said about the success of negotiations with the Irish Ryanair company. He said this at a press conference.

According to him, representatives of the company flew to Ukraine for talks on February 22.

"I have not commented on anything before the signing of the contract. In fact, we had negotiations today, indeed they were successful, indeed, the company will start its flights this fall," the minister said.

The Irish company will conduct flights from Lviv and Boryspil airports. However, the directions are still unknown.

We recall that on July 10, Ryanair canceled the planned start of work at the Ukrainian market. The company said that the airport "Boryspil" preferred airlines with high tariffs, including "International Airlines of Ukraine." In "Boryspil" management, in turn, said that the company put forward demands that can not be met. In addition, airport director Pavlo Ryabikin said that because of the ultimatum of Ryanair airport could incur losses of 2 billion USD.

On July 13 it became known that the International Airport "Boryspil" decided to resume negotiations with Ryanair.

Also earlier, Volodymyr Omelyan announced that Ryanair will start flying from Ukraine in 2018.
