The largest low-cost airline in Europe, Ryanair, temporarily cancels seven flights from Ukraine in February. This is reported by Lowcostavia.

Ryanair has canceled 7 routes from Ukrainian cities until the end of February 2022.

It is noted that from February 1 to February 28, routes from Lviv to Bari, Palermo, Turin and Bratislava, from Kyiv to Bydgoszcz and from Kherson to Krakow and Vienna were completely canceled.

The cancellation mostly affected the 17 routes that were previously canceled by Ryanair before the end of January 2022. That is, some routes continued to be canceled until the beginning of March.

At the same time, it is noted that changes in the schedule are possible. Ryanair may either return some canceled flights or continue to cancel flights in March afterwards.

Meanwhile, German air carrier Lufthansa plans to cut 33,000 flights from its winter schedule, about 10% of its total flight plan. This was announced by CEO Carsten Spohr.

Spohr noted that the number of bookings fell sharply, particularly in the mid-January to February period.

"Above all we are missing passengers in our home markets of Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Belgium, because these countries have been hit hardest by the pandemic wave," he said.
