The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) claims that all concerts of Russian rap performer Morgenshtern (real name Alisher Valeev) in this country are banned and he would not be able to tour in Ukraine. Artem Dekhtyarenko, the SBU spokesman claimed that as cited by UNN news agency.

"In September this year, the SBU once again informed respective agencies in Ukraine about the concerts that he had planned on the territory of our country. Being on the Culture Ministry list instantly bans all sorts of concert activity in Ukraine", Dekhtyarenko said.

At the same time, concert agencies have just announced the performer intends to go on tour in Ukraine in November; that's what the posters said. The first show is slated for November 13 in Zaporizhya, southeastern Ukraine. The concert in Kharkiv could follow on November 15. The final show is supposed to take place in Kyiv.

The ban on Morgenshtern's performance was introduced in April 2021. He was added to the list of people who pose a threat to Ukraine's national security. The SBU stated that during his concerts, the performer "promoted the ideas of violence, the spread and use of drugs". In June, the rapper sued the SBU, filing an appeal to Kyiv's district administrative court.
