It is planned to redeploy two more submarines to Crimea

The new Russian diesel submarine ‘Krasnodar’ arrived from the Mediterranean Sea to Sevastopil on August 9. The Commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet Aleksandr Vitko claimed this as the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.

‘We will receive two more submarines similar to Krasnodar until the end of the year. The submarines Velikiy Novgorod and Kolpino will arrive at the place of the permanent basing and it will completely equipped the submariners and allow to make the battle training even busier and more intensive’, Vitko noted.

According to Russian Ministry of Defense, ‘Krasnodar’ twice launched the aerodynamic missiles in the submerged condition towards terrorist’s aims in Syria during the stay at the Mediterranean Sea.

The submarine ‘Krasnodar’ is the fourth in the series of six submarines of 636.3 project. They were built at the Admiralty Shipyard for the Russian Black Sea Fleet as the Defense Ministry specified.
