Russian court arrest Ukrainian on Crimean border
Kherson region resident allegedly admitted that he changed his name and was trying to get to the Crimea with new passport
Russian court detained a Ukrainian citizen who changed his name to enter the territory of Crimea. This was reported in the border management of FSB of Russia in the Crimea, TASS reports.
"With regard to the Ukrainian was chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention. On the basis of Article 322 of the Criminal Code ("Illegal crossing of the state border") he is arrested up to four years in prison," reads the statement.
The incident took place on January 5 in the automobile checkpoint Perekopske on the border of Ukraine and Crimea, specified in the Border Guard Service.
It is noted that in the course of questioning a resident of Kherson region allegedly admitted that he changed his name and was trying to get to the Crimea using the new passport.
