21:19, 16 June 2018

Near the Russian consulate in Odesa, protesters held an action demanding the release of political prisoners, and pelted the consulate with "bloody balls." This is reported by the Duma.

Participants held posters-caricatures with pictures of the World Cup, which takes place in Russia.

According to organizers of the picket - representatives of the Odesa "Automaidan" organization, the world community should initially ignore the championship, since it is held in a country that does not comply with international laws.

"The aggressor country is holding hostages of our citizens, accusing them of terrorism and forcing to receive their citizenship. Today we came to support them, "said Yuri Batyr, a spokesman for Automaydan.

Partcipants of the action doused football balls with red liquid and symbolically scored goals in the "gates of the Russian Federation".

As reported, on June 15, the Ukrainian Ombudsman Lyudmila Denysova arrived in the colony where they keep Oleh Sentsov, but authorities did not let her in. In turn, Russian ombudsman Tatiana Moskalkova said that Denysova violates the agreement.

At the same time, on June 16, Tetyana Moskalkova visited the "Ukrainian saboteur" Dmitry Shtyblikov in Omsk.

Today Denysova was denied a visit to the Ukrainian political prisoner Mykola Karpyuk, who is now in a Russian prison.
