Kremlin hopes that Russian singer Yuliya Samoylova can manage to represent Russia on the international song contest Eurovision 2017 in Kyiv. RIA news agency reported that citing President’s press-secretary Dmitry Peskov.
“We have a candidate, she is already selected and we count on the Russian signer to be able to represent our country on this international contest,” Peskov said.
“If we understand it right, there is no such an option like singer substitute provided. This is the first thing. Second, Ukrainian side hasn’t made any official decisions yet. We keep following the situation,” Peskov stated.
As we reported earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine prepared document prohibiting entry of Russia's representative at Eurovision due to her visit to the Crimea, where she expressed her opinion regarding Ukrainian State, its government and taken Euro-Atlantic integration course.
