Russia confirmed the European Broadcasting Union its intention to participate in Eurovision 2017 that will be held in Kyiv. The Acting General Director of the National Television and Radio Company of Ukraine (NTCU) Alexander Harebin said this, the TV channel ZIK reports.
"Russia confirmed its participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. In addition, there were no specific issues to us or about the provision of any activities of the ESC", said Harebin.
He said that Russia is not in contact with the Ukrainian side about the song contest and announced its intention to participate to the European Broadcasting Union.
Around February it will be known who will represent Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest.
