In the Ryazan region, gas supply in 11 settlements was cut off due to an explosion of ammunition on the territory of a former military unit, as the Russian TV channel "NTV" reports.

"Gas supply has been cut off at a military unit and in 11 settlements due to a fire near Ryazan. The radius of the dispersion of fragments from shells in the warehouse, according to some sources, reaches several tens of kilometers," the message says.

According to the Ministry of Defense, 189 servicemen, 38 pieces of equipment, four Il-76 and three Mi-8 helicopters were involved in liquidating the fire at a warehouse near Ryazan.

As we reported before, a major fire swept Ukraine's Luhansk region, over 100 fires in 32 settlements were observed.

In the Luhansk region, rescuers have eliminated one of six focal points of fire. Almost 19,000 hectares of forest plantations, a number of populated localities, and 250-300 houses have been affected by fires in the Luhansk region so far, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal told journalists during a working trip to Luhansk region on October 2.
