Romani kindergarten burned down in Zakarpattia region

Police checks arson version and conducts expertise

The building of a kindergarten in a Roma settlement was burnt down at night of July 15 in the village of Velyka Dobron of Zakarpattia region, reports Mukachevo.net.

According to the information of the rescuers, no one was injured as a result of the fire.

The portal notes that the local Roma said that they do not rule out deliberate arson taking into account recent events.

In turn, the police found no traces that would indicate intentional arson, but does not exclude this version and will carry out an examination. This is stated on the website of the National Police of Transcarpathian region.

"The police did not find any traces that would indicate intentional arson. To find out the exact cause of the fire, an appropriate examination will be carried out. For this reason, criminal proceedings have been initiated under part 2 of article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine," the police said.

Let's note, that recently the police fixes cases of attacks and arsons of Roma settlements. The last such incident occurred on the outskirts of Lviv on June 24 - a group of teenagers wearing masks attacked a Roma camp, which resulted in the death of a 24-year-old man, and three others were injured.

The police opened a criminal investigation into the murder and several other articles of the Criminal Code. A total of 11 people were detained. All weapons that were damaged by the Roma were seized from the scene. Later it became known that among the detained teenagers there were ten pupils of three Lviv schools. Eight detainees have already been informed of suspicion.
