Rockslide at Zolote coal mine, two miners end up under debris

A rockslide occurred in Luhansk region, as two miners ended up under the debris inside the coal mine. Tetyana Pohukay, the chief of the department of communications of Luhansk regional police branch said so as quoted by Ukrinform.

The rockslide took place at about 11.40 p.m. Monday. The accident occurred at the Zolote coal mine that belongs to state-run enterprise Pervomaiskvuhillya. The miners were at the depth that exceeded 600 meters. The search and rescue service set up connection with one of the miners.

There's still no information about possible casualties. Search and rescue works are underway.

Earlier this month, we reported that another rockslide occurred at Ternivska iron ore mine (Zaporizhya region), at the depth of 1,383 meters under the ground. Mykhailo Volynets, the head of Independent Trade Union of Mountaineers reported that on Facebook.

Search and rescue team reached the site and took one miner from under the debris. His actual health condition was not immediately revealed.
