Road accident takes place in Russia, eight Ukrainians killed

On the night of February 13, eight Ukrainians were killed in a road accident that took place in the Pskov region of the Russian Federation, another one was hospitalized. The press service of Ukraine’s State Emergency service informed about it.

"On the night of February 13, at about 00:30 a.m., a Mercedes Sprinter minibus collided with a Volvo truck in the Pustoshkinsky district of the Pskov region, resulting in the death of eight Ukrainians. One Ukrainian citizen was injured," the statement reads.

The State Emergency Service also noted that the case is under the control of Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As we reported earlier, on January 14, a passenger car crashed into a truck near the Polish town of Kołbiel, killing four people, two of them were Ukrainian citizens.

"A truck collided with a car. Medical workers, who arrived at the scene, did not find any signs of life among the people who were in the car," fire rescuer Maciej Zhodigowski stated.

The chairman of Yaroslavichi United Territorial Community, in the commentary for Rivne Vecherne, confirmed that killed Ukrainians were brothers and came from the village Velyka Horodnytsia of Mlynivskyi district, Rivne region.
