From May 1, the hot water supply was cut off in Rivne due to public debt. It is reported by the press service of LLC Rivneteploenergo on Facebook.
"Considering the deterioration of the economic situation at the enterprise due to your debts for consumed services, as well as due to an unexpected increase in Naftogaz gas prices by 15% for heat supply companies - since May 1, after numerous warnings, centralized hot water supply in the city has been discontinued,” the message reads.
It is clarified that the exception is made for consumers who receive hot water from boiler houses, since now it is the only opportunity to continue heating the water during the inter-heating period.
"The resumption of hot water supply of the entire city will be restored with a positive dynamic of payment for the services received, as well as after the transfer of the required number of boilers to solid fuel," Rivneteteploenergo added.
On May 1, the law on housing and communal services began to act in Ukraine. From now on, in case of delay in payment for housing and utility services, it will accrue a penalty according to the contract, but not more than 0.01% of the debt amount per day and no more than 100% of the total debt.
