The third power unit of Rivne nuclear power plant was launched again on Sunday, September 1 - after the planned maintenance that began on May 25. The press office of Energoatom, the state-run energy company said so on Monday.
Thus, as of 8 a.m. Monday, three power units of the NPP (with the summary output of 1,400 megaWatts) are working as usual. Energoatom claimed that radiation, fire and environment backgrounds in and around the power plant remain within the normal range.
Recently, President Volodymyr Zelensky and his Lithuanian counterpart Gitanas Nauseda discussed the intensification of cooperation in the field of alternative energy. The talks took place during Zelensky's visit to Poland.
