Restriction on traffic movement in Zaporizhia region lifted

The traffic was restricted due to the inclement weather conditions

The restrictions on the movement of vehicles in Zaporizhia region, southeastern Ukraine, has been lifted, reports the press office of the National Police. 

‘As of 18:00, the traffic in Zaporizhia region is restored,’ reads the message.

Previously, it was reported about the restriction of the movement of trucks on five sections of roads of the Zaporizhia region from 11 a.m. due to the deterioration of weather conditions.  

Besides, on December 25, due to the deterioration of weather conditions, 128 settlements across eight regions of Ukraine are having electricity issues, reads the message of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

‘On the night of December 25, as a result of the weather conditions (rain, sleet and wind gusts) the protection system of high voltage lines worked and 128 settlements in eight regions left without electricity, in particular: Dnipropetrovsk region – 46, Kirovohrad region – 43, Mykolaiv region – 16, Chernivtsi region – 8, Kyiv region – 6, Cherkasy region – 5, Zaporizhia  region – 2 and Chernihiv region – 2,’ reads the message.
