December 8, an apartment on the fifth floor of a ten-story building in Odesa, south Ukraine, caught fire. As a result of the accident, two men died, the press service of the local police department reports.
"During a fire in an area of two square meters, rescuers found the bodies of two men. One of the victims is a 56-year-old owner, the identity of the second is not established," the report said.
According to preliminary data, a fire in the house occurred due to the careless handling of fire. The information has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under paragraph 1 of Part 2 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine marked "accident".
The bodies of the dead were sent to a forensic medical examination.
As we reported, the death toll from a fire at the Odesa College of Economics, Law and the hotel and restaurant business has increased to ten people.
