In the Kharkiv region, rescuers managed to locate a fire near the burned village (Horobivka - 112 International), the press service of the State Emergency Service (SES) reports.
"A forest fire near the village of Horobivka, Dvirnychanskyi district, Kharkiv region, which broke out on September 2, was localized at 1:17 p.m.," the statement said.
The press service of the Interior Ministry notes that the total area covered by the fire is approximately 500 hectares.
479 people and 78 units of equipment were involved in the firefighting, including 235 personnel and 54 units of equipment from the SES, including two fire planes and one helicopter, which made 73 discharges (254 tons of water).
As we reported earlier, on Wednesday, August 2, near Kluhyno-Bashkyrivka village, Novomoskovske forestry, forest floor with a square of about 10 hectares caught on fire. The Mi-8 helicopter was involved to extinguish fire.
Due to the strong gusts of wind, flame extended to the tops of the trees and residential area in Horobivka. Over two dozens houses were destroyed.
