Rescuers extinguish one of six focal points of fire in Luhansk region

In Luhansk region, rescuers have eliminated one of six focal points of fire. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service (SES).

The focal point between the settlements of Baidivka and Polovynkyne of the Starobilsky district has been successfully liquidated.

"The fire between the settlements of Baidivka and Polovynkyne of the Starobilsky district has been extinguished," the statement said.

As of now, 146 fires are observed in 32 settlements across the territory of Luhansk region.

As we reported earlier, according to the Interior Ministry, there are nine victims of the fire. Another 10 people were hospitalized.

Currently, the fires near Pidlisne, Artema, Bolotyane, and Severodonetsk are localized.

Stanytsia Luhanska regional administration, citing the citizens of Stanytsia Luhanska, reported that starting from 11:30 p.m. ‘the attacks from the high-caliber weapons from the occupied territory were observed”.

Later “loud explosions of the ammunition were heard near the checkpoint. About 12:20 a.m., the fire in the forestland near the checkpoint was reported”.
