As of morning September 7, in Luhansk region, the extinguishing of particular glow nests of dried grass continues; the open flame is not observed as the Emergency Service of Ukraine reported.
“As of 07:00 a.m. September 7, the open flame is not observed; the extinguishing of particular glow nests of dried grass, shrubs and forest litter takes place,” the message said.
The rescuers added that there is no threat to settlements. Engineering equipment created 12 fire barrier lines for protection near Lobacheve.
Totally, 112 people and 27 units of equipment, including 105 rescuers and 23 units of their equipment, involved in the elimination of fires.
Later, the Emergency Service reported that three glow nests in Trokhizbenka, Lobacheve and Lopaskyne were eliminated.
On September 2, the large-scale fire started in Luhansk and Kharkiv regions.
As of morning, September 3, about 100 hectares of the territory were on fire in Kharkiv region and about 945 hectares – in Luhansk region. 22 houses were destroyed in Kharkiv region and 13 in Luhansk region. Besides, 33 people were settled out; while two people died.
The Cabinet of Ministers prepares the decision to provide aid to people suffered from fires.
Later it was reported that rescuers managed to locate a fire near the burned village Horobivka.
