The search and rescue operation in Drohobych is over, as workers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine cleared the debris of a ruined living house. The press office of the government agency reported that, claiming that seven people, including five children, were rescued thanks to the employees' efforts.
The explosion in a living house in Drohobych, Lviv region destroyed all four floors in it. Eight people lost their lives in the blast. The police have been figuring out the reason for the blast; possible reasons could be a gas explosion (already ruled out by the police), re-planning of the building or gradual destruction of the basis because of heavy rains.
The police opened a criminal case on this accident. The local city hall announced the two-day-long mourning.
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the new government will conduct the audit of all living houses in Ukraine.
