Ukraine has already procured Remdesivir, the drug that is supposed to help fight symptoms of coronavirus. Viktor Lyashko, the Deputy Healthcare Minister and Chief Sanitary Doctors of Ukraine said so in the interview with Radio Liberty.
"It is procured by state enterprise Medical Procurements of Ukraine. And currently, it is being shipped to Ukraine, so it will show up in the near future," Lyashko said.
According to him, the said drug was the first to show the capability of cutting the period of the patient's stay in stationary treatment at a hospital, and also the number of lethal cases.
Earlier, Maksym Stepanov, the Healthcare Minister, claimed that Remdesivir would reach Ukraine's pharmacy shops by the end of this week.
The Ukrainian Cabinet assumed funds to purchase Remdesivir in September.
