Reinstated at the position of the Head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Stanislav Shevchuk returned to work, as 112 Ukraine reported.
“I was dismissed as the judge, while I did not violate anything as the judge. Concerning the claims to me as the head; they are hypothetical and abstract,” Shevchuk said to the journalists.
On October 11, 2019, the District Administrative Court of Kyiv reinstated Stanislav Shevchuk at the post of the Head of the Constitutional Court.
On May 14, 2019, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine dismissed Stanislav Shevchuk from the office of the Head of this authority. 12 judges, the necessary minimum to pass, voted for such a decision after the Court expressed a motion of no confidence. The colleagues blamed him for making the court's work too political, the source said.
On May 21, 2019, Shevchuk appealed the decision of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on his dismissal.
