Regional hospital in Lviv catches fire, - photos

People get evacuated from the upper floors of the hospital

Regional Clinical Hospital in Lviv (Western Ukraine) caught on fire  November 21 at about 11 a.m., local media reported.

According to Press Secretary of Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv region Vitaliy Turovtsev, the roof of the building is on fire. A lot of fire engines and rescuers are working at the scene.

People get evacuated from the upper levels of the hospital.

Chairman of the press office of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv region Khrystyna Avdieieva claimed that 81 rescuers and 17 units of equipment are involved. They still searching for the source of the fire. More than 200 people have been evacuated. Patients who have been on the first floor remained at their places. The evacuation has been conducted from the second and third floors.

As it was reported earlier, on October 21, two men and a 13-year-old boy died in a fire in the apartment building in Horenka village, Kyiv region. One of the victims is the father of the died boy and the owner of the place.

It was established that the fire occurred in a one-story residential building with an attic. The fire was localized at 2:06 a.m. and completely eliminated at 4:15 a.m.  As a result, the fire destroyed an overlap and a crate on the area of 60 square meters, the décor of the building on the area of 60 square meters, and the property inside the building.
