The red quarantine zone will be imposed in Zaporizhia on October 18. After that citizens will be able to use public transport only if they have a vaccination certificate or a certificate from their place of work. This is evidenced by the corresponding document adopted by the State Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations.

Travel by public transport in the city will be available only if:

  • the presence of a Covid certificate;
  • the result of a negative coronavirus test, made no later than 72 hours;
  • travel certificates for the period of quarantine issued from the place of work.

Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors confirmed 12,983 new cases of Covid-19, including 1,105 children and 204 healthcare workers.

2,859 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 277 patients deceased and 5,874 recovered. 90,186 tests have been taken.

Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Odesa (1,321), Kharkiv (1,293), Lviv (927), Zaporizhia (917) and Kherson (831) regions.
