A German tourist who visited Spain appear to have signs of the new nCoV coronavirus. The press service of the Ministry of Health of the country reports this information.
It is noted that the German tourist was reportedly infected with the virus, and quarantined in a clinic.
The tourist's test samples were sent for examination to the Carlos III Institute of Madrid. One of the samples tested positive for coronavirus. The patient is currently isolated.
As we reported before, Chinese experts have developed a rapid nucleic test kit for a new type of coronavirus (2019-nCoV), which has already killed over 200 people. The kit was a result of the joint work of experts from the National Institute for Viral Disease Control and Prevention and a Wuxi-based high-tech company. As it was stated, the kit can detect the virus within eight to 15 minutes. It is also worth noting that it has high sensitivity and is easy to use and transport.
