Rally in support of Igor Mazur who was detained in Poland, takes place in Kyiv

Protesters call not to offend the embassy and say they came to inform Polish authorities that they had detained the innocent man

The rally in support of Igor Mazur, detained at the request of the Russian Federation, is being held near the Polish embassy in Kyiv. It is reported by Hromadske.

According to the witnesses, the protesters are demanding from the Polish law enforcement authorities to liberate Mazur.

At the same time, the protesters called not to offend the embassy and said that they had come to inform the Polish authorities that they had detained the innocent man.

The deputy chairman of the UNA-UNSO (Ukrainian National Assembly – Ukrainian People's Self-Defence) Ukrainian nationalist organization, Igor Mazur was detained in Poland. The detention was conducted at the request of Russia. The former MP Igor Mosiychuk reported this on Facebook.

"They just confirmed to me that a participant in our national liberation war in the east, a well-known activist Igor Mazur was detained on the territory of Poland in Warsaw, at the request of the Russian Federation," Mosiychuk stated.

Polish border guards detained Mazur on the Polish side of the Dorohusk checkpoint.

“He is not allowed to see the Ukrainian consul and is not provided with a lawyer. On Monday, the issue of taking Igor into custody for extradition to Russia will be decided,” said Andriy Mamalyga on Facebook.
