Rally in Kyiv ends up with shooting and wounded

A victim was among participants of rally who blocked a road, which outraged one of the drivers

The man who protested on Tupolieva street against the demolition of garages was shot in the leg. Perekhoplennia plan was introduced in the capital, the press office of Kyiv National Police reports.

Investigative group of Svyatoshynske Police Department works at the scene to establish circumstances of the incident.

It is known that the participants of the rally blocked the road on Tupolieva street. However, these actions outraged one of the drivers. The driver left his car and shot the Kievan in the leg. Then, he drove away from the scene. The victim was provided with a medical aid.

‘Police officers are questioning the witness of the accident to establish the circumstances and reasons for the conflict. Perekhoplennia plan was introduced in the capital, this is why all police patrols are focused on the search of the car,’ the Police claimed.

The event is duly registered in the Log of statements and reports record of Svyatoshyn Police Department. The question of granting legal qualification to this event is being decided.
