Rally against land market opening held near Verkhovna Rada

People came by agricultural machinery; tractors were standing all over the street

The rally against the land market opening was held next to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. It was reported by the correspondent of 112 Ukraine TV Channel.

"People are beginning to gather at the Verkhovna Rada. They say that they are against the introduction of the land market, they demand the bill to be articulated in such a way that the oligarchs cannot buy land in a single pair of hands," the correspondent reported.

It was noted that many people gathered in Mariinsky Park until they came to the Constitution Square. People came by agricultural machinery; tractors were standing all over the street. There were also many flags of different organizations spotted at the place of the rally.

Meanwhile, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will not be considering the initiative on the agricultural land market creation on November 12. Oleksiy Honcharenko, the MP of the political party the European Solidarity reported that on his Facebook page. 

"Tomorrow's agenda was published. The land market issue has been withdrawn! Victory!" he wrote. 

As we reported earlier, several hundreds of farmers from Lyubashiv, Savransky, Baltsky, Ananivsky and Shiryaevsky districts took part in a protest at the section of Kyiv - Odesa highway over the land reform. The locals brought large-size equipment to the roadside trying to get the attention of the government.
