Quarantine may be tightened in Kyiv tomorrow. The Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies will consider the tightening of anti-epidemic restrictions at an extraordinary meeting tomorrow morning. This was announced by the secretary of the Kyiv City Council Volodymyr Bondarenko, RBC-Ukraine reports.
"Tomorrow at 10 o'clock in the morning, the Kyiv mayor will convene an extraordinary meeting of this commission (Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies, - ed.). We are waiting for proposals from the main directorate of the State Food Service and the Health Department on strengthening anti-epidemic restrictions. And tomorrow at 10 o'clock they will be considered at a meeting," Bondarenko said.
Meanwhile, football fans in Ukraine will again be banned from attending matches as part of new measures to combat rising coronavirus cases in the country. This was announced by the first deputy chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Mykola Povoroznik.
"In the capital, the situation with the spread of the disease is difficult. The number of patients is increasing daily, including those who need hospitalization. Hospitals are filled with patients as never before. Many patients are in serious condition and need oxygen support. At the same time, a big football match is planned in the capital tomorrow, to which fans will come from all over the country. Such a crowd will lead to an explosion in morbidity. And we must prevent this from happening," Povoroznik noted.
