Foreign Ministries of five countries that lost their citizens in the PS752 tragedy demand proper investigation of the reasons for the plane crash, as well as due compensation for the victims' families. This is mentioned in the message that appeared on the website of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry, as International Coordination and Response Group for the victims of Flight PS752 had a meeting on Tuesday.
"The Coordination Group re-committed to remaining united, and to working together to achieve our objectives of transparency, justice, accountability and reparations in order to help families get the answers they deserve and find closure. The Coordination Group continues its call on Iran to conduct an independent and comprehensive investigation into the causes and contributing factors that led to the downing (...). The Coordination Group will continue to seek accountability for those responsible by encouraging for a full and transparent criminal investigation and to call for impartial judicial proceedings in order to obtain justice for the victims of this tragedy", reads the message.
Earlier, Mohsen Baharvand, the Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs said Iran has never tried to conceal any details of the catastrophe of Ukraine's Boeing 737, or to limit the rights of families of the deceased.
"Iran's foreign affairs authority will use all of its opportunities and efforts to protect the rights of the victims", he said. The official thus commented on the second round of talks between Ukraine and Iran in the case of the UIA airplane downed over Tehran in early 2020.
Foreign Ministry claimed it would organize a meeting with families of victims and Iranian court officials so that they could get all the due information about the court process in this case.
