Iran's representatives will come to Ukraine for negotiations about money compensation in the case of the downed Ukrainian aircraft, flight PS752. Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine's Foreign Minister, said so as quoted by Yevropeiska Pravda outlet.
"We invited Iranian delegation in Kyiv, and we appreciate that they accepted the invitation. They will arrive on July 29-30," Kuleba said.
He added that so far, he could not reveal the actual sum of compensations that the Ukrainian side expects from Iran, because it will be the actual topic for discussion.
"We will negotiate in a constructive manner, holding on to a principal position at the same time. I'm totally sure that taking into account how the tragedy took place, we have every reason to ask Iran to pay the highest possible compensation for what it did," the Minister said.
The official reiterated that Ukraine will be representing all states whose citizens deceased in the tragic incident with PS752.
The aircraft of Ukraine's International Airlines crashed not far from Tehran in January 2020. The Iranian side confirmed that the civilian airplane was downed by an anti-aircraft missile, fired my mistake; reportedly, the crew could not tell the difference between the civilian vessel and a hostile military aircraft.
