Protests ‘Who ordered Katia Handziuk’ take place in Ukraine and Europe today

The big-scale national event Ukraine asks: who ordered Katia Handziuk? takes place in all regions of Ukraine, in eight capitals of Europe and in Canada at 12:00 on May 18. The initiators of the protest action posted this on Facebook.

“40 Ukrainian cities. 8 capitals in the world. More than 1000 Ukrainians around all corner of the world. All of them will ask: Who ordered Katia Handziuk? At the same time”, the report said.

In particular, the event to take place in Kyiv, Bila Tserkva, Irpin, Obukhov, Vinnytsia, Lutsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kostiantynivka, Toretske, Kramatorsk, Malyna, Uzhhorod, Zaporizhia, Berdiansk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kropyvnytskiy, Severodonetsk, Lviv, Odesa, Poltava, Kremenchuk, Rivne, Dubno, Sumy, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Kherson, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi and Chernihiv.

On November 4, it became known that Kateryna Handziuk died at age of 34. She was doused with sulphuric acid in July this year. According to preliminary information, her death was caused by blood clot's detachment.  

Besides, the doctors specified the cause for the death of Handziuk was specified. It was due to multiple organ failure and chemical burns.

Handiuk's murder evoked a huge public outrage, with people demanding to find the orderer of the murder of the activist.
