Protesters would gather at 2 pm in Minsk downtown near the "Minsk - Hero City" stele with portraits of political prisoners.
In Zhodino and Baranovychi, people would gather for a protest and march to the local pre-trial detention centers.
Since the beginning of the election campaign in the country, more than 250 criminal cases have been initiated against participants in the presidential race, their headquarters' activists, and peaceful protests participants. Politicians Nikolai Statkevich, Pavel Sevyarynets, bloggers Sergei Tikhanovsky, Igor Losik, presidential candidate Viktor Babariko, members of the Coordination Council Maria Kolesnikova, Maksim Znak, Ilya Salei are still kept behind bars. And also dozens of civic activists, bloggers.
In other cities, it is advised to get ready by 14:00 and go to the pre-trial detention center, police station, or temporary detention facility where the detainees are kept.
As reported before, in Vilnius, Lithuania, leader of the Belarusian opposition Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya and President of France Emmanuel Macron held a meeting and discussed the settlement of the political crisis and release of the political prisoners of Belarus.
