Protests against land sale market to resume near Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday

Protest actions against the law on the land sale market will resume in Kyiv on Tuesday, January 14, under the building of Verkhovna Rada. The relevant information was published on the Facebook page of the Joint Headquarters for the Protection of Ukrainian Land.

Activists are expected to start protesting on Tuesday, at 07:45 a.m. The demonstrations are scheduled to be held up until January 17.

As we reported earlier, a rally against the opening of the land sale market in Ukraine took place near the Parliament building in Kyiv on December 17.

Clashes between the police and protesters occurred from time to time. Dozens of protesters were detained. Several people on both sides were wounded in the fights.

Members of the far-right National Corps tried to enter the Parliament building; however, fighters of the National Guard repelled them. The protesters placed a tent near the Parliament.

During the clashes, one of the protesters lost conscience and was taken to a hospital. The police used tear gas, while the most active rally members throw stones at them. The media report that some journalists were hurt in the fights, too.

On November 13, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the committee bill on the opening of the agricultural land market № 2178-10 as a basis.
