Protesters near MIA demand to investigate incident in Dnipro

The protesters near the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine demanded to investigate the incident that took place on May 9 in Dnipro.

People with symbols of Right Sector, OUN (Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists) and Svoboda gathered in front of the Ministry demanding to investigate the incident and the dismissal of Avakov from the post of the Minister of Internal Affairs.

Artem Shevchenko Director of the Department of Communications of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was present on the ground. He claimed that people can gather and express their opinion but the only thing they are asking for is to keep the meeting peaceful without provocations.

The protest came to the end without serious violations of the law. The majority of the participants went away.

Arsen Avakov the Minister of Internal Affairs dismissed local police chiefs after the fight in Dnipro on May 9. Vitaliy Gluchoverya will become a new Head of Police of the Dnipropetrovsk Region.

The mass fight took place in Dnipro on May 9. Fourteen people got hurt and fifteen people were detained. There are the participants of the Donbas conflict among the injured people and thugs for fire are those who began the fight. It is reported that the law enforcements could act offending against the law.
