In the US city of Seattle, Washington, almost a week ago, anti-racist protesters seized a number of central urban areas, expelled police from there, and proclaimed the so-called ‘autonomous zone’.
As of now, according to ABC, on the territory near Capitol Hill, now known as CHAZ (Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone), or No-Cop Co-op (cooperation without cops), tents are laid out, they distribute free food and protective medical masks, people pitched tents.
At the same time, despite the relatively calm atmosphere, rally participants did not exclude force dispersal.
"We don’t know when the police will come to take this place," one of the demonstrators, Sarah Tornai, notes, as cited by The Seattle Times.
US President Donald Trump, saying that Seattle was captured by "internal terrorists" and "terrible anarchists," called on local authorities to "regain the city."
"Domestic terrorists have captured Seattle, which, of course, is ruled by radical left-wing Democrats. Law and Order!" He wrote on June 11 on Twitter.
For her part, Seattle Mayor Jenny Darkan urged Trump to return to his bunker, hinting that Trump was allegedly awaiting protests in a fortified shelter.
