Over 300 depositors of Mykhailivsky bank blocked traffic on Khreshchatyk Street in Kyiv and demand to return their money. This was reported by numerous witnesses in social networks.

"The President issued a law and it was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada, but most depositors are not protected by that law. We want to show that we are. Nobody heard us for several months. Now we will show it every time," one of the activists said.

The protesters met with the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, but did not receive the answer they expected. Now a part of the demonstrators remained near the Presidential Administration, others strike on the Maidan Nezalezhnosti Square, according to him.

The traffic in downtown is paralyzed. The traffic jam is in the city center: on Lesya Ukrainka Boulevard, Taras Shevchenko Boulevard, Khreshchatyk Street, Institutska Street, Volodymyrska Street, Velyka Vasylkivska Street, Leo Tolstoy and Shota Rustaveli Streets.

“Depositors of the Mykhailivsky bank blocked Khreshchatyk, it is impossible to drive,” comment the witnesses.
